''Darkstalkers'', known in Japan as , is a fighting game series and media franchise created by Capcom. The series is set in a pastiche gothic fiction universe with characters based on monsters from international folklore, and features a stylized 2D graphic style. Its first game, '' Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors,'' was released in arcades in 1994 and its third and final main game is ''Darkstalkers 3'', released in 1997. ''Darkstalkers'' introduced gameplay concepts used in later Capcom fighting games, including the ''Street Fighter Alpha'' and ''Marvel vs. Capcom'' series. Besides video games, the ''Darkstalkers'' media franchise also includes an anime miniseries, an American animated series, a Canadian comic book series, and many books of various kinds and other media released only in Japan. Morrigan Aensland
is a character and protagonist in Capcom's '' Darkstalkers'' series. Having debuted in 1994's '' Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors'', she has since appeared in every game in the series and in various related media and merchandise, as well as in multiple video games outside the ''Darkstalkers'' line, including most entries in both ''Marvel vs. Capcom'' and '' SNK vs. Capcom''. Morrigan is a succubus and a powerful princess (later queen) of the demon realm Makai, who is very vain and lives for little more than the excitement of battle, but slowly begins to take her royal responsibilities more seriously despite her obsessive fascination with the human world. She has a sister-like split part named Lilith and a rival named Demitri Maximoff, and her moveset is reminiscent of Ryu. The fighting game video game genre, genre involves combat between multiple characters, often (but not limited to) one-on-one battles. ''Capcom Fighting Collection'' is a fighting game compilation by Capcom in celebration of the ''Street Fighter'' series' 35th anniversary. The collection includes arcade versions of ten fighting games originally released by Capcom between 1994 and 2003, including all five ''Darkstalkers'' games. It was released in June 2022 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. World Of Darkness
''World of Darkness'' is a series of tabletop role-playing games, originally created by Mark Rein-Hagen for White Wolf Publishing. It began as an annual line of five games in 1991–1995, with ''Vampire: The Masquerade'', ''Werewolf: The Apocalypse'', ''Mage: The Ascension'', ''Wraith: The Oblivion'', and ''Changeling: The Dreaming'', along with off-shoots based on these.
