Jebamani Mohanraj
Jebamani Mohanraj / Mohan Raj (, Deva, जेबामणि मोहनराज; b. 1951–1952) is an Indian politician from Tamil Nadu who founded the Jebamani Janata Party, a registered unrecognized political party. Mohanraj is the son of the "freedom fighter" Nellai R. Jebamani, who was elected in 1977 to represent the Sattankulam constituency in the Tamil Nadu assembly as a member of the Janata Party. Mohanraj named the Jebamani Janata Party after his father. As of October 2011, Mohanraj had "contested 15 elections to Parliament, the Assembly and the local body", and in April 2019, Mohanraj stated that the upcoming by-election to the Perambur assembly seat in Tamil Nadu would be his 13th, and that he had previously unsuccessfully ran in the Lok Sabha and Tamil Nadu elections. Tamil Thai Valthu (Tamil Nadu)
''Tamil Thai Valthu'' (; ) is the state anthem of Tamil Nadu. The song was written by Manonmaniam Sundaram Pillai, and composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Ever since the Tamil Nadu government under M. Karunanidhi issued an order on 23 November 1970, the official functions of the Government of Tamil Nadu, and those functions organised by educational institutions and public establishments, have started with this song, and ended with the Indian National Anthem. The song is sung daily in schools all over Tamil Nadu during the assembly in the morning. On 17 December, 2021, the Tamil Nadu government under chief minister M.K.Stalin, formally declared the song as the official state song, stating that it would be sung at all public events in educational institutes and government offices. 2G Spectrum Case
The 2G spectrum case was a political controversy in which politicians and private officials of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) coalition government India were allegedly involved in selling or allotting 122 2G spectrum licenses on conditions that provided an advantage to specific telecom operators. A. Raja, then Telecom Minister, was accused of selling 2G spectrum licenses at a very low cost which resulted in the loss of ₹1,760 billion (US$25 billion) in government revenue. Raja was also accused of not following rules and regulations as well as not recognizing any advice from the Ministries of Ministry of Finance (India), Finance and Ministry of Law and Justice (India), Law and Justice of India while allotting 2G spectrum licenses to telecom operators. Ranjit Sinha (27 March 1953 – 16 April 2021) was an Indian police officer and was the former director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He was the director general of police of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the director general of the Railway Protection Force before joining as the CBI director in December 2012 for a two-year tenure. Kannagi (), sometimes spelled Kannaki, is a legendary Tamil woman who forms the central character of the Tamil epic '' Cilappatikāram''.
