Jeanette Chéro
Jeanette Chéro (''née'' Christiane Roscher, 4 April 1927 – 22 January 2023) was a German artist and representative of the literary chanson in Germany. Life and career Born in Dresden on 4 April 1927, Chéro grew up with classical music and started composing at the age of nine. Her song cycles were sung under her maiden name by famous performers (among others Kammersänger Kurt Böhme, Kammersänger Gottlob Frick, Professor Walter Hauck, Theo Adam, Werner Faulhaber). In her hometown Dresden she played in numerous concerts and live radio broadcasts together with the outstanding violinist Anneliese Möhner. Chéro studied piano, composition and singing in Dresden and later took acting and ballet lessons in Berlin. She married the general music director Walter Schartner in 1957. A (, ; , ) is generally any Lyrics, lyric-driven French song. The term is most commonly used in English to refer either to the secular polyphonic French songs of late medieval music, medieval and Renaissance music or to a specific style of French pop music which emerged in the 1950s and 1960s. The genre had origins in the monophony, monophonic songs of troubadours and trouvères, though the only polyphonic precedents were 16 works by Adam de la Halle and one by Jehan de Lescurel. The Bläck Fööss ( ) are a music group from Cologne, Germany, started in 1970. From 1973 to 2003 Werner Dies was producer of the music group. Name of the band The band's name in Kölsch, a local dialect of Ripuarian, in which the group predominantly sings, means . In their early days the group would perform barefoot, which was later given up mainly after several injuries from remains of broken glass on stages. Repertoire The band's style of music is a cross between Schlager and pop, but they also perform songs with jazz, blues, rock and reggae styles. The group is famous for its a cappella singing.
