Jean-Philippe Belloc
Jean-Philippe Belloc is a racecar driver from France. He was born in Montauban, on 24 April 1970. Belloc started racing in single-seaters and won the French Formula Renault Championship in 1992, at his second attempt, after four wins. Moving up to the French Formula Three Championship in 1993, he took the title the following year with five wins. He raced in Formula 3000 until 1997. After a few seasons with occasional races in the French Porsche Carrera Cup, he became a full-time sports car racing driver in 1998, when he was third in the Carrera Cup. The following year he became a Chrysler works driver, in the Oreca Chrysler Viper GTS-R, and took third place in the FIA GT Championship, also racing in the American Le Mans Series. In 2001 he became FIA GT Champion, also winning the Spa 24 Hours. The 79th 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: ''79e 24 Heures du Mans'') was an 24-hour automobile endurance race for Le Mans Prototype (LMP) and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) cars. The race was held from 11 to 12 June 2011 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, near Le Mans, France, before 249,500 spectators. The Chrysler Viper GTS-R (also known as the Dodge Viper GTS-R when raced in North America) was a successful racing variant of the Dodge Viper developed in conjunction with Chrysler of North America, Oreca of France, and Reynard Motorsport of the United Kingdom. Henri Jacques William Pescarolo (born 25 September 1942) is a former racing driver from France. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans a record 33 times, winning on four occasions, and won a number of other major sports car events including the 24 Hours of Daytona. He also participated in 64 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, achieving one podium and 12 championship points. Pescarolo also drove in the Dakar Rally in the 1990s, before retiring from racing at the age of 57. In 2000 he set up his eponymous racing team, Pescarolo Sport, which competed in Le Mans until 2013. He wore a distinctive green helmet, and wears a full-face beard that partially covers burns suffered in a crash.
