Jean-Paul Valley
Jean-Paul Valley Jr. is an antihero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Denny O'Neil and Joe Quesada and debuted in ''Batman: Sword of Azrael'' #1 (October 1992) as an ally of the superhero Batman, after which he would go on to make appearances in several ''Batman'' titles. He is the first character to assume the identity of Azrael, a member of a group of assassins who were created by the Order of St. Dumas to bring justice to Gotham City. He is also the second character to take the Batman name for a short time during the ''Knightfall'' storyline, known to be a more brutal incarnation. Azrael is an alias used by multiple Character (arts), fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The original version, Jean-Paul Valley, was created by Dennis O'Neil, Denny O'Neil, Joe Quesada, and Peter Milligan, and debuted in ''Batman: Sword of Azrael'' #1 (October 1992). The second character to assume the alias was Michael Lane (character), Michael Washington Lane, in ''Azrael: Death's Dark Knight'' #1 (May 2009). Joe Quesada
Joseph Quesada (; born January 12, 1962'' Comics Buyer's Guide'' #1650; February 2009; page 107) is an American comic book artist, writer, editor, and television producer. He became known in the 1990s for his work on various Valiant Comics books, such as '' Ninjak'' and '' Solar, Man of the Atom''. He later worked on numerous books for DC Comics and Marvel Comics, such as '' Batman: Sword of Azrael'' and ''X-Factor'', before forming his own company, Event Comics, where he published his creator-owned character, Ash. In 1998 he became an editor of Marvel Comics' Marvel Knights line, before becoming editor-in-chief of the company in 2000. He was named chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment in 2010 and left his editor-in-chief role in January 2011, being replaced by Axel Alonso. Peter Milligan
Peter Milligan (born 24 June 1961) is a British comic book writer who has written extensively for both British and American comic book industries. In the UK, Milligan has contributed to numerous anthology titles including '' 2000 AD'', ''Revolver'', ''Eagle'' and '' A1'', and helped launch the magazine '' Deadline''. A knight is a person granted an honorary title of a knighthood by a head of state (including the pope) or representative for service to the monarch, the church, or the country, especially in a military capacity. Jason Peter Todd is a character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. First appearing in ''Batman (comic book), Batman'' #357 in March 1983, he was created to succeed Dick Grayson as Robin (character), Robin, Batman's partner and sidekick. He initially shared a similar origin to Grayson, being the son of circus acrobats who are killed by criminals in Gotham (Dick's were killed by a local mob boss who sabotaged their trapeze while Jason's parents were killed by Killer Croc) and adopted by Bruce Wayne, Batman's alter ego, as his son and protege.
