Jean-Jacques Fernier
Jean-Jacques Fernier (25 May 1931 – 25 March 2020) was a French architect and historian. Biography Fernier was a registered architect. He graduated from the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris in 1961. From 1959 to 1961, he worked for Edouard Albert. In 1961, he joined forces with André Biro to create the firm Biro & Fernier. In 1965, he participated in the Groupe international d'architecture prospective (GIAP) along with Michel Ragon, Yona Friedman, Paul Maymont, Georges Patrix, and Nicolas Schöffer. Biro and Fernier worked in the movement "Construction and Humanism". He received the Grand Prix de l'urbanisme for his project Ville en X. He conducted most of his work with his partner, André Biro in the Biro & Fernier firm. Fernier built numerous public and private works in Paris, Papeete, and elsewhere in French Polynesia. French Polynesia ( ; ; ) is an overseas collectivity of France and its sole #Governance, overseas country. The Musée d'Orsay ( , , ) () is a museum in Paris, France, on the Rive Gauche, Left Bank of the Seine. It is housed in the former Gare d'Orsay, a Beaux-Arts architecture, Beaux-Arts railway station built from 1898 to 1900. It is a close-up view of the vulva and abdomen of a naked woman, lying on a bed with legs spread. Her lover at the time was the American painter James Whistler, a friend of Courbet. Hervé Novelli (born 6 March 1949) is a French politician of Italian origin, and a past member of the UDF group. Musée Courbet
The Musée Courbet or Courbet Museum is a museum dedicated to the French painter Gustave Courbet. It is located in Ornans in the Doubs-Franche-Comté area of France. History The Musée Courbet occupies the birthplace of French realist painter Gustave Courbet, at the Hôtel Hébert, and has about 80 permanent works of the artist. It is located at 1 Place Robert Fernier in Ornans, France. Its creation took place in 1971, due to the efforts of Robert Fernier, a painter, who was its first curator. Fernier also published two volumes of the Courbet catalogue raisonné. The museum became property of the Doubs department in 1976. It was completely renovated and enlarged between 2008 and 2011, and at the same time, annexed the Borel house and the Hotel Champereux, enlarging its surface to more than 2,000 m2, including 1,000 m2 and 21 permanent and temporary exhibition rooms.
