Jaydon Hibbert
Jaydon Hibbert (born 17 January 2005) is a Jamaican track and field athlete. At the age of 17, he won the gold medal in the triple jump at the 2022 World Under-20 Championships, after silver in the previous 2021 edition. Hibbert holds the world U20 outdoor and indoor records in the triple jump and the Jamaican senior record at the latter. On 14 December 2023, Hibbert would go on to win the prestigious Bowerman award - collegiate track and field's version of the Heisman. Personal life Jaydon Hibbert attended Kingston College in Kingston. Upon graduation in 2022 he enrolled at University of Arkansas and began competing for Arkansas Razorbacks track and field team, joining compatriots Wayne Pinnock and Carey McLeod, amongst others. The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". Carey McLeod
Carey McLeod (born 14 April 1998) is a Jamaican athlete who competes in the long jump and triple jump. Career McLeod studied at Kingston College in Jamaica before moving to the University of Tennessee. He placed himself among the top-10 triple-jumping collegians in NCAA indoor history, recording a mark of 17.17m to win the men's triple jump at the SEC Championships in Fayetteville. As well as setting a new school record he surpassed the 2020 Olympic qualifying standard, in addition to being the No. 1 mark in the NCAA and No. 3 in the world for the 2020-21 indoor campaign. His efforts in both the long jump and the triple jump earned him a nomination for the NCAA indoor field event athlete of 2020. Wayne Pinnock
Wayne Pinnock (born 24 October 2000) is a Jamaican long jumper. He won silver medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2023 World Championships and 2025 World Indoor Championships. Career Pinnock won the collegiate long jump double in 2022, winning the NCAA Indoor and NCAA Outdoor titles. That year, he made his senior major championship debut at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, placing ninth overall. With his first jump at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, Pinnock achieved a new personal best distance of 8.54 metres, and it was enough for him to win the silver medal at the event. The Bowerman
The Bowerman is an annual track and field award that is the highest accolade given to the year's best student-athlete in American college athletics, collegiate track and field. It is named after Oregon Ducks track and field, Oregon track and field and cross country running, cross country coach Bill Bowerman and is administered by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
