''Jayam'' is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language horror film directed and produced by the duo Ravi-Raja, making their directorial debut. The film stars Sangita, Mansoor Ali Khan, Ishaq Hussaini and Vichithra, with Bhavana, Ragul, Rocky, Karikalan, Shanmugasundaram and Vadivukkarasi playing supporting roles. It was released on 15 October 1999. Plot The Tamil Nadu police are looking for professor Saamy, a mad scientist who committed multiple terrorist attacks in Tamil Nadu. The inspector of Police Rathnam, also an informer, informs each stage of the investigation to professor Saamy, thus Saamy managed to escape from the police each time. The commissioner of Police Sankar who handles the case, calls in Anand and Vijay to find and arrest Saamy. In the past, Anand and Vijay arrested Saamy but he was eventually released from jail thanks to his political influence. ''Jayam'' () is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by M. Raja in his Tamil debut. The film is a remake of the 2002 Telugu-language film with the same title. It featured Raja's brother Ravi Mohan, Sadha and Gopichand in their first Tamil ventures respectively, with the latter two reprising their roles from the Telugu movie alongside an ensemble supporting cast including Rajeev, Pragathi, Nizhalgal Ravi, Radha Ravi, Nalini, Senthil, and Suman Setty. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film released on 21 June 2003 to mixed reviews but was a sleeper hit. Jayam Ravi
Ravi Mohan (born 10 September 1980), better known by his former stage name Jayam Ravi, is an Indian actor who works in Tamil cinema. The son of veteran film editor A. Mohan, Ravi made his lead acting debut in ''Jayam (2003 film), Jayam'' (2003), the success of which prompted the title to become a prefix to his stage name until 2025. He has won one Tamil Nadu State Film Award and one Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards respectively.
