Jay Hill (politician)
Jay D. Hill (born December 27, 1952) is a Canadian politician who served as the Conservative Party of Canada, Conservative Member of Parliament (Canada), Member of Parliament (MP) for the List of Canadian federal electoral districts, riding of Prince George—Peace River in British Columbia from 1993 to 2010. He served as Government House Leader in the House of Commons of Canada, House of Commons during his tenure (2008–2010). On July 21, 2010, Hill announced that he would be retiring at the 2011 Canadian federal election, May 2011 federal election. In October 2010, he announced he would retire on October 25, 2010. He recently served as the interim leader of the Maverick Party from 2020 to 2022. One of Hill's private members bills resulted in the Adoption Expense Tax Credit, introduced in the 2005 federal budget. His bill called for tax breaks for couples who adopt children. Jay Hill (born December 8, 1964) is an American former racing driver from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Hill participated in one Toyota Atlantic race in 1991 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, finishing 9th. In 1992 he drove in the CART IndyCar World Series' Detroit Grand Prix in a year old Buick powered Lola fielded by Burns Racing. Jay Hill (American Football)
Jay Leroy Hill (born March 16, 1975) is an American football coach. He is the defensive coordinator and associate head coach at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. Hill served as the head football coach at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah from 2014 to 2022, compiling a record of 68–39 in nine seasons. He left Weber State as the program's all-time winningest head coach. Hill was an assistant coach at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City under Urban Meyer and Kyle Whittingham from 2001 to 2013. Jay Hillock (born c. 1949) is an American former college basketball coach. He was the head coach for six seasons in the West Coast Conference, four at Gonzaga in Spokane and two at Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles. Hillock was an assistant on staff at both programs before the respective promotions to head coach. His career record as a head coach was 91–78 (), and an even 39–39 in league play. Gonzaga A 1971 graduate of Gonzaga University, Hillock returned to his alma mater in 1979 as an assistant under second-year head coach Dan Fitzgerald. It was GU's first season in the West Coast Athletic Conference, after sixteen years as a charter member of the Big Sky Conference.
