Jay Chhaniyara
Jay Chhaniyara (born 22 October 1993) is an Indian stand-up comedian. A performer since the age of six, he came to public attention following appearances on Star One's The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He has also performed on Zee TV in Aashayein, and on SAB TV longest show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2011 during Gokuldham Khel Mahotsav. Chhaniyara was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at an early age. Early life Jay Chhaniyara was born in Rajkot, Gujarat. His father is a retired government servant in water supply board, His mother is a housewife. He has an elder brother named Ravi. Career Chhaniyara started to perform to his family as a child to deal with the pain of operations. Stand-up comedy is a comedic performance to a live audience in which the performer addresses the audience directly from the stage. The performer is known as a comedian, a comic or a stand-up. Stand-up comedy consists of one-liners, stories, observations or a shtick that may incorporate props, music, magic tricks or ventriloquism. It can be performed almost anywhere, including comedy clubs, comedy festivals, bars, nightclubs, colleges or theatres. History Stand-up as a Western art form has its roots in the stump speech of American minstrel shows, which featured an actor in blackface delivering nonsensical monologue to the audience. The Great Indian Laughter Challenge
''The Great Indian Laughter Challenge'' is an Indian reality stand-up comedy series produced by Endemol India. The first four seasons aired on STAR One from 15 June 2005 to 26 September 2008. The show's fifth season premiered on 30 September 2017 on STAR Plus and was judged by Akshay Kumar. The show is based on a format where stand-up comedians perform and entertain judges and the studio audience with their comedy skills. The first three seasons of the show saw Shekhar Suman, an eminent TV personality and Navjot Singh Sidhu, former cricketer, cricket color commentator and Punjab politician." ''Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'' () is an Indian sitcom based on the weekly column "Duniya Ne Undha Chasma" by Taarak Mehta in '' Chitralekha'' magazine. It is produced by Asit Kumar Modi. It premiered on 28 July 2008 and airs on Sony SAB and is also digitally available on SonyLIV. The show holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running Indian daily sitcom on television by episode count. Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of movement disorders that appear in early childhood.
