Javelin Boot
Javelin Boot was a band formed in Texas in 1978 by guitarist Dan O'Neill, bassist Blake Patterson, and drummer David Mider. Described as "one of Austin's premier pop bands" by the Austin American-Statesman, they released the albums '' The Schwa Sound'' and '' The Mauve Album'' in 1988 and 1989, before moving on to Pravda Records, where they released " For Those About to Pop" and " Fundamentally Sound". Additionally, their music has been used in television episodes of ''Melrose Place ''Melrose Place'' is an American prime time television soap opera that aired on Fox from July 8, 1992, to May 24, 1999, for seven seasons. Dan O'Neill (musician)
Dan O'Neill (born April 21, 1942) is an People of the United States, American underground cartoonist, creator of the syndicated comic strip ''Odd Bodkins'' and founder of the underground comics collective the Air Pirates. Education O'Neill attended the University of San Francisco, making contributions to the ''San Francisco Foghorn'', the school newspaper. ''Odd Bodkins'' ''Odd Bodkins'' began its run in 1964 in the ''San Francisco Chronicle'' when O'Neill was 21 years old. The strip consisted of the adventures of Hugh and Fred Bird. During the course of the strip's run, it increasingly reflected O'Neill's life in and his critique of 1960s counterculture. Though he considered himself a strong writer, O'Neill said of his artwork, "I had a very weak line. Either that or palsy." Blake Patterson
Blake is a surname which originated from Old English. Its derivation is uncertain; it could come from "blac", a nickname for someone who had dark hair or skin, or from "blaac", a nickname for someone with pale hair or skin. Another theory, presumably in the belief it is a Welsh patronymic in origin, for which there is no evidence, was that it is a corruption of "Ap Lake", meaning "Son of Lake". Pravda Records is an American independent record label based in Chicago, Illinois, United States, representing a diverse roster of indie rock, soul, pop, and experimental artists. History Pravda Records was founded by Kenn Goodman in 1984. Pravda's first release was a five song cassette by The Service entitled ''Foma.'' In 1986, Pravda Records opened a retail store at 3730 N.
