Jaspa Fletcher
Jaspa Fletcher (born 24 February 2004) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Brisbane Lions. Fletcher, whose father Adrian also played for the Lions, was a part of Brisbane's 2024 premiership win. Early career Fletcher was born in Victoria but moved to Brisbane at three years of age in late 2007 when his father, Adrian, accepted an assistant coaching role with the Brisbane Lions. His father is a 231-game former AFL player for Geelong (23), St Kilda (22), Brisbane Bears/Lions (107) and Fremantle (79) and his mother, Narelle, is a 296-game former WNBL player for Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Dandenong as well as an Australian national team representative. Brisbane Bears
The Brisbane Football Club, nicknamed the Bears, was a professional Australian rules football club based in Queensland on the Gold Coast (relocated to Brisbane in 1993). The club participated in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL) between 1987 and 1996, and entered the league as the first of two non-Victorian expansion teams. It was the first privately owned club in the league's history. Will Ashcroft
William Ashcroft (born 6 May 2004) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was taken as pick number 2, under the father–son rule. Ashcroft began playing football as a child at the age of six. The son of Marcus Ashcroft, a three-time AFL premiership player, Ashcroft's talent as a footballer was identified by the Gold Coast Suns Football Club at the age of ten. He played for various teams in Queensland as a child, before moving to Melbourne in 2019 at the age of 15 where he commenced playing for the Sandringham Dragons. During his time with the Sandringham Dragons, Ashcroft was promoted to captain and received the Larke Medal for best player at the national championships. Brisbane Lions Academy
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. Coorparoo Football Club
Coorparoo Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in the Brisbane suburb of Coorparoo, Queensland, Coorparoo from 1935 until the senior club folded in 1995. The club left the Queensland Australian Football League, QAFL following the 1993 season due to the financial strain experienced since the recent introduction of a minimum salary cap, and joined the Brisbane Australian Football League (BAFL) for the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
