Jason Hoyte
Jason Hoyte is a New Zealand screen and voice actor and radio DJ. He has at least 25 television shows to his credit and is best known for his roles as Steve Mudgeway in '' Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby'' and Malcolm "Smudge" in ''Nothing Trivial''. He is also known for starring in the film ''The Insatiable Moon,'' and starred as Franklin Corke in the New Zealand Comedy/Drama '' Outrageous Fortune.'' Hoyte is currently one of the Co-Hosts on the Radio Hauraki Big Show, from 4 till 7pm weekdays, alongside fellow New Zealand actor and radio DJ, Mike Minogue. Career Hoyte was born in Rotorua, New Zealand, and attended Auckland boarding school, Dilworth. He lives with his wife in Glen Eden, Auckland, New Zealand. 2003 New Zealand Film Awards
The 2003 New Zealand Film Awards were held on 8 December 2003 in Auckland. After there had been no New Zealand film awards in 2002, previous organiser the New Zealand Academy of Film and Television Arts had originally announced its intention to again host a film awards for 2003, but later withdrew, claiming insufficient sponsorship to stage the awards. However, a group from the film industry, led by the New Zealand Film Commission and government agency New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, raised enough sponsorship to host the awards. Feature film ''Whale Rider'' dominated the awards with nine wins, and short film ''Two Cars, One Night'' won three of the four short film prizes. Mike Minogue
Michael John Minogue (20 October 1923 – 27 November 2008) was a New Zealand National Party politician, lawyer and mayor. Biography Minogue was born on 20 October 1923. He attended Timaru Boys' High School, St. Patrick's College Silverstream, and Victoria University. He was Mayor of Hamilton, New Zealand from 1968 to 1976, when he resigned to become a Member of Parliament. He was never on good terms with his own party leader, Robert Muldoon, and strongly opposed many of his policies, particularly challenging him on the SIS Bill and cabinet's executive powers. Muldoon then invited him to resign from the party which Minogue refused to do. He represented the Hamilton West electorate until the 1984 election, when he lost to Labour Party challenger Trevor Mallard.
