Jason Jeffrey Gay (born January 18, 1972), better known by his stage name Jason Gray, is an American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter. He was born Jason Jeffrey Gay and released a number of albums independently under his given name. Gay legally changed his last name to Gray in 2006, citing issues associated with internet search engines and content filters when fans would search for "Jason Gay". In 2007 he signed to Centricity Music, releasing more albums with them under the name Jason Gray. Early life, family and education Jason Jeffrey Gray was born and raised in southwestern Minnesota. He resided in the Mankato, Minnesota area until his move to Nashville in 2015. Gray has a speech disorder; as a person who stutters, he emphasizes the theme of finding strength in weakness. The Afters
The Afters is an American Christian rock band founded by Josh Havens and Matt Fuqua. Havens and Fuqua first worked together in a Starbucks coffee shop in Mesquite, Texas, where they performed songs for customers before deciding to form a band. They were initially joined by Brad Wigg from the same Starbucks and drummer Michael Burden and performed with the name Blisse. When Burden left the band, Marc Dodd, who also worked at the Mesquite Starbucks stepped in. Big Daddy Weave is an American contemporary Christian band from Mobile, Alabama. Formed in 1998, the band is composed of Mike Weaver, Joe Shirk, Jeremy Redmon, Brian Beihl, and Raul Alfonso. Since 2021, they have been signed to Curb Records. History The band was formed in 1998 at the University of Mobile in Alabama. Mike Weaver served as worship leader of a Pensacola, Florida church and attended a community college in the area. He came to the university at the urging of his pastor, and studied voice. In 2006 and 2007, Big Daddy Weave toured with Mark Schultz on his Broken and Beautiful Tour. In 2009, they headlined the What Life Would Be Like Tour with guest musician Josh Wilson. Caedmon's Call was a contemporary Christian band that fused traditional folk with world music and alternative rock. They were composed of Cliff Young (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Derek Webb (lead vocals, guitar), Danielle Young (vocals), Garett Buell (percussion), Jeff Miller (bass guitar), Todd Bragg (drums), and Josh Moore (keyboard, accordion, harmonica).
