Jasbeer Singh (born 17 September 1986) is an Italian field hockey player for the Italian national team. She participated at the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup. Bra, Piedmont
Bra (, ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Cuneo in the northwest Italian region of Piedmont. It is situated southeast of Turin and northeast of Cuneo in the area known as Roero. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. The stick has two sides; one rounded and one flat; only the flat face of the stick is allowed to progress the ball. During play, goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with any part of their body. A player's hand is considered part of the stick if holding the stick. 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup
The 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup was the 14th edition of the Women's Hockey World Cup, a field hockey tournament. It was held from 21 July to 5 August 2018 at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London, England. Defending champions the Netherlands won the tournament for an eighth time after defeating Ireland 6–0 in the final, who claimed their first World Cup medal. Spain won the third place match by defeating Australia 3–1 to claim their first World Cup medal as well. Inder "Gogi" Singh (25 February 1944 – 19 August 2001) was an Indian hockey player who represented India in the 1968 Summer Olympics. Nicknamed "Gogi", Singh was born in Faridkot, India. He Married Gianna Fissore, an Italian citizen. Singh settled in Italy after relinquishing his job in the Railways. His wife, Gianna, was also a national-level hockey player of her country. After emigrating to Italy he played a major role in establishing a hockey club in Bra, Piedmont.
