Jarrad McVeigh
Jarrad McVeigh (born 7 April 1985) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the younger brother of former Essendon midfielder Mark McVeigh. He was co-captain of the Sydney Swans alongside Adam Goodes in 2011 and 2012 and Kieren Jack from 2013 to 2016. Kieren Jack
Kieren Jack (born 28 June 1987) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was the co-captain of the Sydney Swans, alongside Jarrad McVeigh from 2013 to 2016. Early life Jack was born in Sydney, New South Wales. The son of former Balmain, NSW and Australian rugby league player Garry Jack, Kieren is the eldest of three brothers raised in the Cherrybrook suburb of Sydney. His younger brothers are Rhys and Brandon. Kieren was educated at West Pennant Hills Primary School where he played in its AFL team, including the premiership side in 1999. Paul Roos (Australian Rules Footballer)
Paul Roos (born 27 June 1963) is a former Australian rules football coach who coached the Sydney Swans and Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). As a player, he represented and during the 1980s and 1990s. A versatile key-position player, Roos was a strong mark who was excellent at ground level, and in his prime was rated the best footballer in Australia. He was one of the Fitzroy Lions' finest players in its final years, and was named at centre half back in Fitzroy's Team of the Century. In his 17 seasons of League football, he was only reported once, for abusive language, and was found not guilty. Roos was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2005. Carlton Football Club Salary Cap Breach
The Carlton Football Club salary cap breach was the breach of the Australian Football League's salary cap by the Carlton Football Club, primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The breaches were a major scandal for the club, and resulted in the club being fined almost one million dollars (which was a record fine for an AFL team until Essendon in 2013), and restricted from recruiting players via the AFL Draft, both of which had lasting implications on the club's position. Beep Test
The multi-stage fitness test (MSFT), also known as the beep test, bleep test, PACER test (progressive aerobic cardiovascular endurance run), or the 20m shuttle run test, is a running test used to estimate an athlete's aerobic capacity ( VO2 max). The test requires participants to run 20 meters back and forth across a marked track keeping time with beeps. Every minute, the time between beeps gets shorter; and participants must run faster. If a participant fails to reach the relevant marker in time, they are cautioned. A second caution ends the test for that runner. The number of shuttles completed is recorded as the score of that runner. The score is recorded in Level. Shuttles format (e.g. 9.5). The maximum laps on the PACER test is 247.
