Jaroslav Kristek
Jaroslav Kristek (born March 16, 1980) is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for HC Brumov-Bylnice in the Czech fourth division. He was drafted in the second round, 50th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and played 6 games for them during the 2002–03 season. The rest of his career has been spent in various European leagues, mainly the Czech Extraliga. He won a Slovnaft Extraliga championship with HC Košice in 2010–11. Kristek played two seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans before joining the Sabres' American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans, for the 2000–01 season. In three seasons with Rochester, Kristek appeared in 125 games and scored 23 goals. He also appeared in six NHL games with Buffalo during the 2002–03 season, recording no points. The 2002–03 NHL season was the 86th regular season of the National Hockey League. The 2000–01 AHL season was the 65th season of the American Hockey League. The league realigned its divisions again. The Atlantic division was renamed as the Canadian division. The Empire State division was replaced by the South division, with many teams shifting from the Mid-Atlantic division. Twenty teams played 80 games each in the schedule. Rochester Americans
The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team based in Rochester, New York. They are the American Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres. The team plays its home games at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. The Americans are the fourth oldest franchise in the AHL, and have the second longest continuous tenure among AHL teams in their current locations after the Hershey Bears. Rochester was awarded a new franchise in June 1956, when the Pittsburgh Hornets were forced to suspend operations after their arena, the Duquesne Gardens was razed in an urban renewal project. The Tri-City Americans are an American major junior ice hockey team playing in the Western Hockey League and based in Kennewick, Washington.
