Jared Wilson (footballer)
Jared Andrew Wilson (born 24 January 1989) is an English footballer who plays as a full back. He previously played in the Football League for Birmingham City and Chesterfield, and in non-League football for Redditch United, Worcester City, Cirencester Town and Evesham United. Club career Wilson, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, played in the under-18 side that reached the quarter-final of the 2007 FA Youth Cup. Before the 2007–08 season he signed his first one-year professional contract. He made ten appearances for the reserve team and five for the Academy team that season, after which he was given a further one-year contract. In the build-up to the 2008–09 season, Wilson was part of the first-team squad and, together with fellow youngsters Jordon Mutch and Sone Aluko, went on the club's pre-season tour to Austria. Alex McLeish
Alexander McLeish (born 21 January 1959) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player. He played as a defender for Aberdeen during their 1980s glory years, making nearly 500 League appearances for the club, and won 77 caps for Scotland. McLeish started his managerial career with spells at Motherwell and Hibernian, before guiding Rangers to two championships and five cup wins in five years. McLeish spent ten months as manager of the Scotland national team which narrowly failed to qualify for the finals of the 2008 UEFA European championship. He then resigned this post in November 2007 to become manager of Birmingham City, who were in the Premier League at the time. Though Birmingham were relegated at the end of the season, McLeish guided them back to the Premier League in 2009. The Southern League is a football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from East Anglia, the South and Midlands of England, and South Wales. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system.
