Jardim Zoológico station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. History It is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on 29 December 1959. This station is located on Praça General Humberto Delgado, connecting to the Sete Rios Railway Station (Sintra and Azambuja Lines) and the Sete Rios Bus terminal. It takes its name from the nearby Lisbon Zoo. The architectural design of the original station is by Falcão e Cunha. On 25 July 1995 the station was extended and refurbished, based on the architectural design of Benoliel de Carvalho. Gare Do Oriente
Gare do Oriente (), or alternately, the ''Lisbon Oriente Station'' is one of the main Portuguese intermodal transport hubs, and is situated in the civil parish of Parque das Nações, municipality of Lisbon. History In 1994, the station was proposed as part of the modernization of the Linha do Norte, a modification to the rail line to facilitate the future development of a new station in eastern Lisbon. Located along Avenida D. João II, over Avenida de Berlim and Rua Conselheiro Mariano de Carvalho, the station was planned to occupy the lands once occupied by Apeadeiro dos Olivais, which was demolished in the 1990s in order to make way for the new station. Bids for building the project on lands to be used for the 1998 exposition were solicited internationally. The concept was originally designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava in 1995, and built by Necso. Cais do Sodré is a station on the Green Line of the Lisbon Metro. It is located in the Praça Duque da Terceira, connecting to the Cais do Sodré railway station and with a boat station (allowing for quick travel between Lisbon and Cacilhas, Seixal and Montijo. History This metro station was built by Pedro Botelho and Nuno Teotónio Pereira and the art work was done by António Dacosta, which left some of his drawings to be used in the station after his death, with some help from the painter Pedro Morais.
