Janusz Kotański
Janusz Andrzej Kotański (born 29 April 1957) is a Polish historian and teacher. He served as the Polish ambassador to the Holy See from 2016 to 2022. Life Janusz Kotański was born in 1957 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1983, he has earned his master's degree from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of History. He has been studying also law. He was working as a high school teacher and as a specialist at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (Poland), Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as well as at the Polish Information Agency and as a historian at the Institute of National Remembrance and at the Museum of John Paul II and Primate Wyszyński. In 2016, he was nominated ambassador to the Holy See, accredited also to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. He presented his credentials to Pope Francis on 23 June 2016. Piotr Nowina-Konopka
Piotr Nowina-Konopka (27 May 1949 – 13 June 2025) was a Polish academic, politician and diplomat. Academia Nowina-Konopka studied at the Sopot School of Economics, Gdańsk University, where he gained an MSc (1972) and a PhD (1978) in economics. From 1978 to 1989 he was assistant professor in the Foreign Trade Economics Institute, Gdańsk University, and from 1988 to 1989 was professor of Catholic social science at Gdańsk Theological Institute. Nowina-Konopka was List of College of Europe Rectors and Vice-Rectors, Vice-Rector of the College of Europe, and head of the Warsaw/Natolin campus, from 1999 to 2004. In 2006 he was a professor at Giedroyć College in Warsaw, where he taught a course on Negotiations and Mediations in International Conflicts. Jerzy Popiełuszko
Jerzy Popiełuszko ( born Alfons Popiełuszko; 14 September 1947 – 19 October 1984) was a Polish Roman Catholic priest who became associated with the opposition Solidarity trade union in communist Poland. He was murdered in 1984 by three agents of , who were shortly thereafter tried and convicted of the murder. Popiełuszko has been recognized as a martyr by the Roman Catholic Church and was beatified on 6 June 2010 by Cardinal Angelo Amato on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI. An alleged miracle attributed to his intercession, which could lead to his canonization, is now under investigation.
