Janis Tarchuk
Janis Tarchuk is a Canadian politician. She was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Banff-Cochrane as a Progressive Conservative. Early life Tarchuk has a long history of community involvement. Prior to provincial politics, she chaired and sat on several local health and education boards, and served as an executive member of the Alberta School Boards Association. In addition, she was the director of Jubilee Insurance and a board member of the Alberta Educational Technology and Research Foundation. Guelph ( ; 2021 Canadian Census population 143,740) is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Known as "The Royal City", Guelph is roughly east of Kitchener and west of Downtown Toronto, at the intersection of Highway 6, Highway 7 and Wellington County Road 124. It is the seat of Wellington County, but is politically independent of it. Guelph began as a settlement in the 1820s, established by Scotsman John Galt, who was in Upper Canada as the first Superintendent of the Canada Company.
