Jane Ellen Ibur
Jane Ellen Ibur (born 1950) is an American poet and arts educator living in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. She has been chosen to serve as the Poet Laureate for St. Louis, MO. She runs the program Poets and Writers Ink for young writers in middle and high school in the St. Louis area. She has twice been recognized by the Missouri Scholars Academy and has received many awards as an author and educator. Early life and education Jane Ellen (Janie) Ibur was born October 21, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Leslie L. Ibur and Betty Harris Ibur. She was the second of six children and the first girl. Nathan Cummings Foundation
The Nathan Cummings Foundation was endowed by Nathan Cummings (1896–1985), founder of Consolidated Foods, later renamed Sara Lee. Missouri Scholars Academy
Missouri Scholars Academy, or MSA, is a three-week residential summer program held on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri for 330 of Missouri's gifted high school juniors. MSA exists to enrich and expand gifted education for individual students and gifted programs. MSA is a member of the National Conference of Governor's Schools. Missouri Scholars Academy should not be confused with the Missouri Student Association, with which it shares an acronym. ''River Styx'' is a literary journal produced in St. Louis, Missouri, and published two times a year by the Big River Association. It is the oldest literary journal in St. Louis, Missouri.
