Krystyna Jolanta Janda (; born 18 December 1952) is a Polish film and theatre actress, director, and singer. She is best known internationally for playing leading roles in several films by Polish film director Andrzej Wajda, including '' Man of Marble'' (''Człowiek z marmuru'', 1976) and '' Man of Iron'' (''Człowiek z żelaza'', 1981). Petr Janda (born 2 May 1942) is a Czech musician from Prague. He has been the frontman of the rock band Olympic since 1963. He has released three solo studio albums and one with Petra Janů. Janda is the father of singer Marta Jandová, the brother of musician Slávek Janda, and the cousin of guitarist Luboš Andršt. Biography Early life Petr Janda was born on 2 May 1942 in Prague, which was at the time part of the Nazi-occupied Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. After high school, he studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. Music Janda began his musical career playing guitar in the band Sputnici in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He went on to play with Big Beat Quintet, where he met bassist Pavel Chrastina and drummer Jan Antonín Pacák. In 1963, he joined the big beat band Olympic, which had been cofounded by Chrastina a year earlier. Pacák joined the group in 1965, by which point, Janda had become its frontman and lead vocalist. Petr Janda (born 5 January 1987) is a Czech retired football player. He was also a regular for the Czech national under-21 football team. Career Janda debuted for the Czech national football team against Peru at the 2011 Kirin Cup. He joined Antalyaspor on a 3.5 year contract on 28 January 2012. Petr Janda (born 5 January 1975) is a Czechs, Czech architect. He studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague (1993–2001) and is also a graduate of the Monumental Art Studio of Professor Aleš Veselý at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague, Academy of Fine Arts (1997–2003). Marta Verner (née Jandová; born 13 April 1974) is a Czech singer, best known for being the lead singer of the German alternative rock band Die Happy. She represented the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Václav Noid Bárta with the song " Hope Never Dies". Ludmila Jandová (3 August 1938 – 20 October 2008) was a Czech painter and printmaker. Born in Osík, Jandová studied first in Železný Brod at the glassmaking school before traveling to Prague for further study. There, she entered the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague in 1966, studied under Vladimir Silovsky and , and graduated in 1969. During her career, she produced graphic art of various types, as well as illustrations, drawings, paintings, and pastels; at times she also worked in collage and other disciplines. Kim D. Janda (born August 23, 1957) is an American chemist whose research focuses on the fields of medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, immunology and neuropharmacology. Janda currently holds the rank of the Ely R. Callaway, Jr. Chaired Professor in the Departments of Chemistry and Immunology at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) in La Jolla, California, and is also the director of the Worm Institute of Research and Medicine (WIRM) and a Skaggs Scholar within the Skaggs Institute of Chemical Biology, both at TSRI.
