Janaki Janmasthali Mandir
Maa Janaki Janmbhoomi Mandir or Punaura Dham is a proposed temple of the Hindu goddess Sita in Mithila at a site at the Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district, Bihar, India. In Hinduism the site is considered the place where Sita was found closed in a box from a farm field while the King Janaka was ploughing the farm field. Ramayana Research Council has also proposed the construction of the Tallest Statue of Mata Sita at ''Raghopur Bakhri'' village in the Sitamarhi district, which is near the proposed site at Punauradham. There is a plan to build Janaki Dham in Sitamarhi on the lines of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. A campus known as Janaki Dham would be built on 57 acres of land near Punauradham. The foundation stone of the ''Janaki Janmasthali Mandir'' was laid by Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar on 13 December 2023 at Punauradham. Sitamarhi District
Sitamarhi is one of the districts in the Indian state of Bihar. Dumra is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district is a part of the Tirhut Division and is located along the border of Nepal. It is the part of the Mithila region in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed to be the place of manifestation of Goddess Sita in the ancient Mithila Kingdom while the legendary King Janaka in the epic Ramayana was ploughing a farm field in the present city of Sitamarhi. Presently in the city of Sitamarhi, there are two locations claimed to be the birthplace of the Goddess Sita. The two locations are Urvija Kund at Janaki Sthan and Janaki Kund at Punauradham. Ayodhya () is a city situated on the banks of the Sarayu river in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Kameshwar Choupal
Kameshwar Choupal (24 April 1956 – 7 February 2025) was an Indian politician who was a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. He was elected to Bihar Council in 2002. He is well known for laying the first brick of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on 9 November 1989. He received the status of first ''Kar Sevak'' by the organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Choupal contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Supaul, Bihar on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. He died in Delhi on 7 February 2025, at the age of 68.
