Jan Pahechan
''Jan Pahechan'' is a 1950 Hindi-language film directed by Fali Mistry, and starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis in lead roles, with Jeevan, Shama Dulari, Neelam and Sankatha in supporting roles. The producers are Robin Chatterjee and Fali Mistry. The film's music was composed by Manna Dey (as Mana Dey), Cecil Mendoza and Khemchand Prakash. The film was based on a story written by Ramanand Sagar and R.P. Sharma. Plot Asha is a very poor woman from a village who is living with her mother and blind father. When her mother dies, her father marries another woman named Rukmani who is very abusive to Asha. Rukmani wants Asha to marry an old villager named Lallu, but her plan fails. Fali Mistry
Fali Mistry (1919–1979) was an Indian cinematographer, who worked in Bollywood films, from the 1940s to 1980, both in black and white and colour cinema, and along with younger brother Jal Mistry, he was one of the most acclaimed cinematographers of his era. He also produced and directed a few films. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer twice, ''Guide'' (colour) (1967) and ''Fakira'' (1977). Early life Mistry was born in Bombay on 17 February 1917 to a Parsi family. His younger brother Jal Mistry, also became a cinematographer. Geeta Dutt
Geeta Dutt (born Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri; 23 November 1930 – 20 July 1972) was an Indian playback singer and a famous Hindi and Bengali classical artist, born in Faridpur before the Partition of India. She found particular prominence as a playback singer in Hindi cinema. She is considered as one of the best playback singers of all time in Hindi films. She also sang many modern Bengali songs, both in the film and non-film genre. Rajkumari Dubey (1924 – 2000), better known by her first name, Rajkumari, was an Indian playback singer who worked in Hindi cinema of 1930s and 1940s. Best known for her songs, "Sun Bairi Baalam Sach Bol Re" in ''Bawre Nain'' (1950), "Ghabaraa Ke Jo Hum Sar Ko Takraayan" in '' Mahal'' (1949) and "Najariya Ki Maari" in ''Pakeezah'' (1972). Talat Mahmood (24 February 1924 – 9 May 1998) was an Indian playback singer who is considered one of the popular male Indian film song and ghazal singers. Although he tried his luck as a film actor, he did not succeed a great deal in acting. Chandramauli Chopra ( ; 29 December 1917 – 12 December 2005) known professionally as Ramanand Sagar, was an Indian filmmaker, editor, playwright, poet and an author.
