Jan Johansen (politician)
Jan Johansen (born 12 December 1955 in Svendborg) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party. He was elected into parliament at the 2011 Danish general election. Political career Johansen sat in the municipal council of Munkebo Municipality from 1997 to 2006, and served as deputy mayor from 2001 to 2006. In 2006 the municipality was merged with Kerteminde and Langeskov Municipality to form a new Kerteminde Municipality. He sat in this new municipality's municipal council from 2006 to 2011. Johansen was first elected into parliament in the 2011 election. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was Landstinget. It meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. The Folketing passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets and approving the state's accounts. As set out in the Constitution of Denmark, the Folketing shares power with the reigning monarch. 2015 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 18 June 2015 to elect the 179 members of the Folketing. 175 members were elected in the Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. Although the ruling Social Democrats became the largest party in the Folketing and increased their seat count, the opposition Venstre party was able to form a minority government headed by Lars Løkke Rasmussen with the support of the Danish People's Party, the Liberal Alliance and the Conservative People's Party. 2019 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament elections. Funen (Folketing Constituency)
Funen ( da, Fyn) is one of the 12 multi-member constituencies of the Folketing, the national legislature of Denmark. The constituency was established in 2007 following the public administration structural reform. It consists of the municipalities of Ærø, Assens, Faaborg-Midtfyn, Kerteminde, Langeland, Middelfart, Nordfyn, Nyborg, Odense and Svendborg. The constituency currently elects 12 of the 179 members of the Folketing using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. Langeskov Municipality
Until January 1, 2007, Langeskov municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Funen County near the northeast coast of the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 43 km2, and had a total population of 6,365 (2005). Its last mayor was Ejvind Høyer Nielsen, a member of the Conservative People's Party (''Det Konservative Folkeparti'') political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Langeskov in Rønninge Parish. Other towns in the municipality were Birkende, Marslev, and Rønninge, which also lend their names to the parishes within the municipality.
