Carole Howald
Carole Howald (born 29 March 1993 in Langenthal) is a Swiss curler from Langenthal. She currently plays second on Team Silvana Tirinzoni. Career Howald joined the Binia Feltscher rink at lead in 2017. She previously played with Melanie Barbezat and with this rink won the 2014 Dumfries Curling Challenge. They played in three Grand Slams in her first season with the team, qualifying in one of them, the 2017 Boost National. She got to play in her first official World Championship at the 2018 World Women's Curling Championship after being the alternate at her previous three appearances. The team struggled that week, failing to reach the playoffs after posting a 5–7 record. At the conclusion of the 2017–18 season, Irene Schori left the team and Howald was promoted to third. The team almost made it to the World Championships that season, but were bested by Silvana Tirinzoni 8–7 in the final. Mirjam Ott (born 27 January 1972 in Bern, Switzerland) is a retired Swiss curler who lives in Laax, Switzerland. She is the 2012 World Curling Champion skip. She is the skip (captain) of the Swiss Olympic Curling Team. She has participated in several Olympic Games contests and has won numerous awards in many other curling events worldwide. Career Ott won the Olympic silver medal twice; in the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City (with skip Luzia Ebnöther) and 2006 in Turin (as skip herself), making her the first woman with two Olympic medals in curling. In 2008 the team won the European Championship in Sweden. At the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, her team finished a disappointing fourth place, as Ott's touch completely deserted her late in the semi-final and bronze medal matches. Kevin Wunderlin (born 17 December 1991) is a Swiss curler. He currently skips the Biel/Bienne curling team on the World Curling Tour. Wunderlin's first international curling experience came at the 2013 European Mixed Curling Championship, when Wunderlin played second for the Swiss team, skipped by Marc Pfister. The team would top their group in the group stage of the event, with a 6-1 record. However, they lost in the quarterfinals to Hungary. On the World Curling Tour, Wunderlin has won two career events. Robert Hürlimann (born 18 August 1967 in Solothurn) is a Swiss curler. Curling career Hürlimann was a member of the Swiss team that won a gold medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics when curling was a demonstration sport. Later that year, he won a bronze medal at his first appearance at the European Curling Championships.
