Jan De Koning (footballer)
Jan de Koning (born October 7, 1949, in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer, scout and manager. He played as a forward. After working as assistant technical director at Liverpool F.C.'s Academy, he now scouts for Portsmouth F.C. in Europe. Player In his playing career, de Koning played for Ajax, Vitesse Arnhem, Lokeren, and Cercle Brugge. De Koning also regularly played for the Netherlands U18 and U21 national teams. During his career de Koning played with many of renowned players such as Johan Cruyff, Ruud Krol, Johan Neeskens, Arie Haan and Johnny Rep. After his playing career de Koning spent time in his family’s scrap metal business while achieving his coaching qualifications in the Netherlands. Netherlands National Under-21 Football Team
The Netherlands national under-21 football team is the national under-21 team of the Netherlands and is controlled by the Royal Dutch Football Association. The team competes in the European Under-21 Championship, held every two years. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1976, the Dutch Under-21 team was formed. The team did not have a very good record, failing to qualify for nine of the fifteen tournaments. The team did not enter for the 1978 competition, but since then has reached the semi-finals twice, and qualified for the last eight on three other occasions. Since the under-21 competition rules insist that players must be 21 or under at the start of a two-year competition, technically it is an U-23 competition. Cristian Chivu
Cristian Eugen Chivu (; born 26 October 1980) is a Romanian professional football coach and former player who is the current head coach of Serie A club Inter Milan. A defender, he began his career with hometown club CSM Reșița before moving to Universitatea Craiova in 1998, leaving Romania to join Dutch club Ajax a season later. His performances as the captain of Ajax inspired an €18 million transfer to Roma in 2003. Dave Van Den Bergh
Dave van den Bergh (; born 7 May 1976) is a Dutch football coach and former player who played as a left winger. Playing career Europe A product of the famed AFC Ajax youth program, Van den Bergh played for Ajax from 1995 to 1997, winning one league title during that time and reaching the finals and the year after the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League. Between 1997 and 2000, he played for Rayo Vallecano in Spain, helping the team get promoted to the Primera División, and earning their first UEFA Cup qualification. Johnny Heitinga
John Gijsbert Alan "Johnny" Heitinga (born 15 November 1983) is a Dutch football coach and former player who is currently the assistant manager at Premier League club Liverpool. He will become the manager of Eredivisie club Ajax on 1 July 2025. A product of the Ajax Youth Academy, he played for their first squad from 2001 to 2008. After a one-year spell at Atlético Madrid in Spain, he signed for Everton in 2009. John Nicholaas Rep (born 25 November 1951) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a right winger. He holds the all-time record for FIFA World Cup goals for the Netherlands with 7. Arend "Arie" Haan (; born 16 November 1948) is a Dutch Association football, football manager and former player who played as a midfielder.
