Jan Davidsen
Jan Davidsen (born 24 July 1950) is a Norwegian trade unionist. He is a firefighter by vocation and worked as such in Bergen. He was elected to the leadership in the Norwegian Union of Municipal Employees in 1985, became deputy leader in 1990 and leader in 1994. When this union merged to form the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees in 2003, Davidsen served as leader until 2013. The Norwegian Union of Municipal Employees ( no, Norsk Kommuneforbund, NKF) was a trade union in Norway, organized under the national Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions. It was founded in 1920 as the Norwegian Municipal Workers' Union, a split from the Norwegian Union of General Workers. Its chairman the first fifteen years was Gunnar Sethil. On founding, it had 3,280 members, and this grew steadily. The Norwegian Tramway Union merged in during 1921, followed by the National Association of Municipal Officials in 1923, following which, it renamed itself as the NKF. The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions ( no, Landsorganisasjonen i Norge, LO) is a national trade union center, decidedly the largest and probably the most influential umbrella organization of labour unions in Norway. Liv Nilsson
Liv Solbjørg Nilsson (28 January 1943 – 4 July 1994) was a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. By vocation, she was an office clerk at Bodø Hospital. She was elected as leader of the Norwegian Union of Municipal Employees in Nordland, later advancing to the national leadership. In 1982, she was elected as leader-designate, as it was known that the current leader would retire in 1985. She chaired the Union of Municipal Employees from 1985 to her death in 1994. Mette Nord (born 14 January 1959) is a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. She hails from Porsgrunn. She is a practical nurse by vocation, and became leader of the Telemark branch of the Norwegian Association of Health and Social Care Personnel. When this trade union merged in 2003 to form the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees, she became deputy leader of the Telemark branch.
