Jan Brunstedt
Jan Olof Brunstedt (born 9 July 1949 in Stockholm, Sweden) is an auto racing driver who competed in the 2008 Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia at the age of 59. He is also an airline pilot and managing director of Nordic Aero. He started racing in karting from 1979. From then, he drove in single-seaters including the Swedish Formula 3 and Swedish Formula Opel championships. In 1996 he finished second in points driving in the Swedish Touring Car Championship. In 1997 he raced an ex-RML Group, RML Vauxhall Vectra as an independent entry, making the briefest of appearances in the British Touring Car Championship. He only managed to race in two rounds at the second meeting of the year at Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone, finishing last in both races. Falkenbergs Motorbana
Falkenbergs Motorbana is a motor racing circuit at Bergagård, Sweden. The circuit was opened in 1967, as a replacement for Skreabanan, and is currently owned and run by Falkenbergs Motorklubb. A chicane was added on the first corner in 2004 to improve safety on the relatively fast track. Thruxton Circuit
The Thruxton Circuit is a motor-racing circuit located near the village of Thruxton, Hampshire, Thruxton in Hampshire, England, United Kingdom, about north of Southampton. It has hosted motorsport events including the British Touring Car Championship, British GT Championship, British Formula One Championship, British Formula Three, and GB3 Championship. It is often referred to as the "Fastest Circuit in the UK" where drivers can reach speeds of over and has earned the reputation of being a true driver's track. Donington Park
Donington Park is a motorsport Race track, circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival. Originally part of the Donington Hall estate, it was created as a racing circuit during the period between the First and Second World Wars when the German Silver Arrows were battling for the European Championship. 1997 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 1997 Auto Trader RAC British Touring Car Championship was won by Alain Menu of the Williams Renault Dealer Racing team, driving a Renault Laguna. Menu dominated the year, setting a record of 12 wins during the season. The runner up was Frank Biela of Audi Sport UK in an Audi A4 Quattro. Third place was Menu's teammate, Jason Plato. In the independent class the championship was won by Robb Gravett in a Honda Accord. Season summary Defending manufacturers champions Audi retained the same driver line up for 1997, with defending drivers champion Frank Biela again partnering John Bintcliffe. Arctic Circle Raceway is a motor racing race track, circuit in Norway. It is north of Mo i Rana, south of the Arctic Circle.
