Jamshid Mahmoudi
Jamshid Mahmoudi (Persian: جمشید محمودی, born 1983) is an Afghan film director, screenwriter, producer and editor. Mahmoudi is best known for writing and directing '' A Few Cubic Meters of Love'' (2014), '' Rona, Azim's Mother'' (2018), and '' The Lion Skin'' (2022–2023). In 2023, he earned two Hafez Awards for ''The Lion Skin''. Parwan also spelled Parvan () is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. It is the largest province of the Greater Parwan region and has a population of about 751,000. ''The Lion Skin'' () is an Iranian television series created by the brothers Jamshid and Navid Mahmoudi for Filmnet. It stars Hadi Hejazifar as the lead character, with Alireza Kamali, Shahab Hosseini, Pantea Bahram, Zhila Shahi, Mehrdad Sedighian, Pardis Ahmadieh and Behzad Khalaj. Hafez Awards (Persian: جایزه حافظ) is an annual awards ceremony which honors achievements in Iranian cinema. The awards, first presented in 1997, are presented by Picture World Magazine (Aka. Donyaye Tassvir in Persian) which is why they are also known as Donyaye Tassvir Awards. It is the only non-governmental ceremony among the cinematic festivals and awards held in Iran. IRIB TV2 () is one of the 40 national television channels in Iran. It broadcasts to the Persian-speaking areas of the Middle East and is headquartered in Tehran.
