Jamie Ray Mills
On June 24, 2004, 87-year-old Floyd Hill and his 72-year-old wife Vera Hill were both attacked and murdered in Guin, Alabama, United States, by an intruder who bludgeoned them severely before stealing $140 and prescription drugs from the couple. Floyd was mortally wounded and died on the scene; Vera survived until September 12, 2004, when she died of complications resulting from her injuries. The Hills' 30-year-old neighbour, Jamie Ray Mills, was arrested and charged with murdering the couple. Mills was found guilty of the double murder and sentenced to death in 2007, while Mills's wife was similarly convicted of murder but jailed for life. Guin is a city in Marion County, Alabama, United States. It incorporated in December 1889. At the 2020 census, the population was 2,195. History Guin takes its name from a young country doctor, Dr. Jeremiah ("Jerry") Guin from Tuscaloosa County, who purchased the farm known then as Haley's Trading Post (where is now situate the town of Guin) from a certain John T. Holman Correctional Facility
William C. Holman Correctional Facility is an Alabama Department of Corrections prison located in Atmore, Alabama. The facility is along Alabama State Highway 21. The facility was originally built to house 581 inmates. Holman held as many as one thousand prisoners. It has 632 general population beds, 200 single cells, and 170 death row cells, for a capacity of 1002 maximum through minimum-custody inmates, including a large contingent of life without parole inmates. The death chamber is located at Holman, where all state executions are conducted. Holman also operates two major correctional industries within the facility's perimeter: a license plate plant and a sewing factory. David Hosier
David Russell Hosier (February 10, 1955 – June 11, 2024) was an American ex-soldier who was convicted of the murder of his ex-lover Angela Gilpin in 2009. Hosier had killed both Angela and her husband Rodney Gilpin out of anger due to his then girlfriend having reconciled with her husband despite their romantic relationship that lasted for years, although Hosier protested his innocence. Hosier was put on trial and found guilty, and sentenced to death on November 27, 2013. Hosier spent 11 years on death row before he was executed by lethal injection on June 11, 2024. On December 23, 2006, in New Bloomfield, Missouri, 25-year-old Sarah Ann Bonnie (née Mosier; March 28, 1981 – December 23, 2006) and her 28-year-old husband Benjamin Wade Bonnie (alias Ben Bonnie; October 29, 1978 – December 23, 2006) were both shot and murdered by her 34-year-old cousin Brian Joseph Dorsey (March 21, 1972 – April 9, 2024), whom they hid at her house to help him evade the drug dealers who were searching for him to collect their debts.
