Jamie Harrison
Jamie Harrison (born 19 November 1990) is an English cricketer. Harrison is a right-handed batsman who bowls left-arm medium-fast. He was born at Whiston, Merseyside, and was educated at Sedbergh School. Having previously been part of Durham's cricket academy, Harrison made his debut for Durham in a List A match against Somerset in the 2012 Clydesdale Bank 40 at the Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. He ended Durham's innings of 222/9 on 7 not out, while with the ball he took the wickets of Craig Kieswetter and Peter Trego, finishing the match with figures of 2/51 from eight overs. Following the match, he made his first-class debut against the same opponents at the County Ground, Taunton, in the County Championship. Durham batted first and made 384 all out, with Harrison dismissed by Trego for 15 runs. Jaime Harrison
Jaime R. Harrison (; born February 5, 1976) is an American attorney and politician who is the chairman of the Democratic National Committee. He previously served as the chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party from 2013 to 2017. Harrison unsuccessfully ran against incumbent senator Lindsey Graham for the South Carolina U.S. Senate seat in the 2020 election. Early life and education Harrison was born and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was raised by his mother, Patricia Harrison, and his grandparents. He attended a Baptist church in his youth. Craig Kieswetter
Craig Kieswetter (born 28 November 1987) is an English professional golfer and former cricketer who appeared in 71 matches for the England cricket team between 2010 and 2013. Born and raised in South Africa, Kieswetter moved to England to complete his education, and began playing county cricket for Somerset in 2007. Three years later, he made his international debut in a One Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh. A wicket-keeper batsman, he was considered a one-day specialist, and all his international appearances came in ODIs or Twenty20 Internationals. Kieswetter played junior cricket for Western Province until the age of 18, but lack of opportunity led him to seek an alternative route in England. Alexander William Rodgerson Barrow (born 6 May 1992) is an English cricketer who most recently played for Somerset County Cricket Club. He made his first team debut for the county in the 2011 County Championship against Hampshire. Alex has risen through the ranks of the Somerset Youth sides representing the county from Under 11 to Under 17 and joining the county academy in 2008. Alex attended King's College, Taunton and Downside School, where his school career was prolific, culminating in 2010, when he was the leading Wisden schoolboy batsman, scoring 803 runs at an average of 160.60. George Henry Dockrell (born 22 July 1992) is an Irish cricketer. Dockrell is right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler who plays international cricket for Ireland after learning his cricket at Leinster Cricket Club, Dublin. He was a member of the class of 2010 in Gonzaga College, Dublin. In December 2018, he was one of nineteen players to be awarded a central contract by Cricket Ireland for the 2019 season. In January 2020, he was one of nineteen players to be awarded a central contract from Cricket Ireland, the first year in which all contracts were awarded on a full-time basis. County Ground, Taunton
The County Ground, known for sponsorship reasons as Cooper Associates County Ground, and nicknamed Ciderabad, is a cricket ground in Taunton, Somerset. It is the home of Somerset County Cricket Club, who have played there since 1882. The ground, which is located between Priory Bridge Road and St James Street, has a capacity of 8,500. The ground was originally built as part of a sports centre by Taunton Athletic Club in 1881, and became the home of the previously nomadic Somerset County Cricket Club soon after. Having leased the ground for ten years, the club bought the ground in 1896, under the guidance of club secretary Henry Murray-Anderdon. The ground ends are the River End to the north and the Somerset Pavilion End to the south. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs.
