Jamie Bhatti
Jamie Bhatti (born 8 September 1993) is a Scotland international rugby union player who currently plays as a loose head prop for Glasgow Warriors. He previously played for Edinburgh Rugby and Bath Rugby; and had at prior stint at Glasgow Warriors. Background Bhatti was born in Stirling on 8 September 1993. His surname is of Indian origin; his paternal grandfather emigrated to Scotland from Ludhiana in the 1960s. As a teenager he worked in an abattoir and as a nightclub door steward and applied unsuccessfully to become a police officer before turning professional in rugby. Gregor Townsend
Gregor Peter John Townsend, (born 26 April 1973) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Scotland national team having previously been an assistant coach from 2009 to 2012. As a player, he won 82 caps for Scotland and two for the British and Irish Lions. He is a former coach of Glasgow Warriors and was a player-coach for Border Reivers. As well as in Scotland, he played club rugby in Australia, England, France and South Africa. As coach of Scotland, his team won at Twickenham for the first time in 38 years in 2021. The Scotland national Club XV rugby union team is one of several national rugby union teams behind the Scottish national side. The national Club XV takes the best players from club rugby in Scotland to form a side that regularly competes with a similar Ireland Club XV. The two teams play each other annually for the Dalriada Cup. The Scotland Club XV side also regularly play with the similar England Counties XV since 2014. Scotland National Under-19 Rugby Union Team
The Scotland national under-19 rugby union team is one of several junior national rugby union teams behind the Scottish national side. Starting in 2008, the International Rugby Board scrapped its under-21 and under-19 world championships in favour of a single under-20 competition, the IRB Junior World Championship. Scotland accordingly replaced its under-21 and under-19 sides with a new under-20 side. The Under 19s regularly played until 2010 before being scrapped. The age grade is still very occasionally used by Scotland. In July 2014, the Under 18 boss Eddie Pollock named an Under 19 squad for a double header in August 2014 against Romanian age grades. The Scotland national under-18 rugby union team is the under-18 team of the Scotland national rugby union team in the sport of rugby union. History Under-18 became a recognised age-grade in European rugby in 2004. European Championship Scotland took part in the early editions of the European Under-18 Rugby Union Championship, coming third in 2005 and fourth in 2006, on both occasions playing Italy for third place. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition.
