James Wharton (racing Driver)
James Anthony Wharton (born 8 July 2006) is an Australian racing driver who currently competes in the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship for Prema Racing. He was a race winner in Italian F4, finishing fourth in 2023. He was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy between 2021 and 2023. Career Karting Born in Bundoora in 2006, Wharton began karting at the age of eight in his homeland of Australia. Following two years in Mini and Cadet karting he won eight out of ten races in his 2017 season, winning the Australian Championship in the process. Following that him and his father moved to Europe to progress his career, where he spent four years contracted to Parolin, competing in various continental championships. 2024 Formula Regional European Championship
The 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is a planned multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship to be held across Europe. The championship will feature a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This will be the sixth season of the championship and the fourth after a merger with Formula Renault Eurocup which resulted to the change of the engine supplier to Alpine. Teams and drivers The same twelve teams that contested the 2023 season were also pre-selected for the 2024 season. Mugello Circuit () is a race track in Scarperia e San Piero, Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The circuit length is . It has 15 turns and a long straight. The circuit stadium stands have a capacity of 50,000. Grand Prix motorcycle racing host an annual event at the circuit (for MotoGP and smaller classes). In 2007 and 2008 the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters held an annual event. The track is owned by Scuderia Ferrari, which uses it for Formula One testing. Ugo Ugochukwu Orlandi (born April 23, 2007) is an American racing driver of Nigerian and Italian descent. He currently competes in the Italian F4 Championship with Prema Racing, having previously finished third in the F4 British Championship racing for Carlin. The Yas Marina Circuit (Arabic: حلبة مرسى ياس) is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
