James Valentine (journalist)
James Matthew Valentine (born 1961) is an Australian musician, and radio and television presenter. As a saxophonist he was a member of Jo Jo Zep (1982), Models (1984–87) and Absent Friends (1989–90). Biography James Matthew Valentine was born in 1961 in Ballarat. His father was a car salesman and his mother taught elocution and was a part-time radio announcer. He has two older brothers. He attended Ballarat Grammar School where he learned saxophone, he described his performances in the local area, "a really bad jazz rock fusion gig." In the early 1980s Valentine relocated to Melbourne to attend university, he later recalled "First year I spent studying, and then I started getting gigs, and I didn't pay much attention to uni after that because I wanted to be a jazz musician." James Burgon Valentine (born October 5, 1978) is an American musician who is the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the pop rock band Maroon 5. Early life Valentine was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and has three sisters and one brother. His mother is a former beauty queen, who was a school teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise her five children. His younger sister, Amanda Valentine, has been a contestant on '' Project Runway'' two times starring in Season 11 and Season 13, as well as '' Project Runway All Stars'' once in Season 6. James is an Eagle Scout. He was the president of his high school Lincoln Southeast High School's student council in Lincoln, Nebraska. James Valentine (12 June 1815 – 19 June 1879) was a Scottish photographer. Valentine's of Dundee produced Scottish topographical views from the 1860s, and later became internationally famous as the producers of picture postcards. Early life James Valentine was born on 12 June 1815 in Dundee, the second of the five children of John Valentine (1792–1868), linen weaver, and his wife, Mary Valentine née Watson (1790-1866). James Valentine (29 July 1866 – 25 July 1904), also known by the nickname of "Jim Val", was an English rugby union, and semi-professional Northern Union (Rugby Football League (RFL)) footballer who played in the 1880s, 1890s and 1900s. James Valentine (RFC Officer)
Lieutenant-Colonel James Valentine (1887 – 1917) was an early English aviator who died during the First World War, serving in the Royal Flying Corps. Early life Valentine was born in Lambeth, London on 22 August 1887 the son of James and Fanny Valentine. His father was a general manager of an insurance company in 1891. Aviator Valentine gained his Royal Aero Club aviators certificate (No. 47) on 31 December 1910 at Brooklands Aerodrome using a Macfie Biplane. In 1911, flying a Deperdussin, he was one of only four airmen to complete the Circuit of Britain race and was the only British aviator to compete in the Circuit of Europe race. He was one of the few competitors to complete the course. In the Aerial Derby of eighty-one miles around London on 3 June 1912, Valentine was third flying a Bristol Prier monoplane.
