James Tien Pei-chun
James Tien Pei-chun, GBS, OBE, JP (; born 8 January 1947) is the former chairman and Leader of the Liberal Party (LP) and former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Legco). Originally an entrepreneur, he was also a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong (Exco), member of Central and Western and Kwai Tsing District Council and Hong Kong member to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Son of the textile entrepreneur-turned-politician Francis Tien, James was appointed to public offices since the 1980s, where he sat on the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee (BLCC) and was appointed to the Legislative Council in 1988. 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Election
The 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election was held on 4 September 2016 for the 6th Legislative Council of Hong Kong (LegCo). A total of 70 members, 35 from geographical constituency, geographical constituencies (GCs) and 35 from functional constituency (Hong Kong), functional constituencies (FCs), were returned. Selina Chow
Selina Chow Liang Shuk-yee (; born 25 January 1945) is a former Hong Kong television executive and politician. She was a member of the Legislative Council for nearly three decades, and was also a member of the Executive Council. She is honorary chairwoman of the Liberal Party, having formerly been its chairwoman. Joining Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) after graduating from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), she was Hong Kong's first weather girl. She went on to executive roles at all three of Hong Kong's major television broadcasting companies: TVB from 1967 to 1977, general manager of Commercial Television (CTV) from 1977 to 1978 and chief executive of Asia Television (ATV) from 1988 to 1991. Francis Yuan-hao Tien Order of the British Empire, CBE, Legum Doctor, LLD, Doctor of Social Science, DSoSc, Justice of Peace, JP (; 1915–1992) was a Hong Kong entrepreneur and the unofficial member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. Early life and business career Francis Tien was born in Suzhou, a town located about 75 km from Shanghai. His father originally came from Anhui and settled in the Suzhou region and started a textile production business. Francis Tien was studied at a junior school in Suzhou and mechanical engineering at the Henry Lester Institute of Technical Education in Shanghai and graduate in 1942. Donald Tsang
Sir Donald Tsang Yam-kuen (; born 7 October 1944) is a former Hong Kong civil servant who served as the second Chief Executive of Hong Kong from 2005 to 2012. Tsang joined the colonial civil service as an Executive Officer in 1967, occupying various positions in local administration, finance and trade before he was appointed Financial Secretary of Hong Kong in 1995, becoming the first ethnic Chinese to hold the position under British administration.
