James Strauss (footballer)
James Allan Strauss (born 14 June 1990) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League. Strauss was selected with Melbourne's third pick of the 2008 AFL Draft, 19th overall from the Oakleigh Chargers. Junior career Strauss's junior career was spent playing for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup and for Scotch College in the Associated Public Schools in Victoria. AFL career 2009: Recurring injuries Strauss had a frustrating season with injuries in 2009. Ankle and leg problems hampered him early in the year and he ultimately injured his shoulder playing for Melbourne's VFL-affiliate, the Casey Scorpions. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the Talent League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the Australian Football League, AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. In June 2008 the Chargers moved into a new pavilion at Warrawee Park, however they rarely play in Oakleigh, if at all. Michael Barlow
Michael Barlow (born 18 December 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club and Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Barlow grew up in regional Victoria town of Shepparton. He was educated at Notre Dame College, Shepparton before finishing his schooling as a boarder at Assumption College, Kilmore. Early career Unlike most players in the AFL, Barlow did not play in the TAC Cup as a junior, but instead played for Shepparton United in the Goulburn Valley Football League, where he represented Victoria Country in 2007 as a 19-year-old. The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria, Australia, Victoria. Founded in 1892, it consists of six senior divisions, ranging from Premier to Division 3 in the men's competition and Premier to Division 4 in the women's competition. Campbell Brown (born 28 August 1983) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club and the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and the current captain of the Australian national Kabaddi team. He led the side at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.
