James Robb (politician)
James Alexander Robb, (10 August 1859 – November 11, 1929) was a Canadians, Canadian Member of Parliament (Canada), Member of Parliament and cabinet minister. Robb was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. He served as Liberal Party Whip (politics), Whip from 1919 to 1921. From 5 September 1925 to 28 June 1926 and again from 25 September 1926 until his death, he served as Minister of Finance (Canada), Minister of Finance in the administration of William Lyon Mackenzie King. He served briefly as Acting Minister of National Defence (Canada), Minister of National Defence in October 1926. Henry Herbert Stevens
Henry Herbert Stevens, (8 December 1878 – 14 June 1973) was a Canadian politician and businessman. A member of R. B. Bennett's cabinet, he split with the Conservative Prime Minister to found the Reconstruction Party of Canada. Early life Stevens was born in Bristol, England and immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of nine. His family settled in Peterborough, Ontario where his widowed father raised him and his three brothers and sisters. The family moved to Vernon, British Columbia, in 1894 and Stevens found his first job there, as a grocery clerk, at the age of 16. He then went to northern British Columbia to work in the mining camps before working as a fireman on the Canadian Pacific Railway and later as a stagecoach driver. In 1899 he joined the United States Army, and travelled to the Philippines and then to China, where he was present during the Boxer Rebellion, before returning to British Columbia in 1901. Thomas Andrew Low, (March 12, 1871 – February 9, 1931) was a Canadian industrialist and politician. Born in Quebec City, Quebec, the son of Alexander George Low and Margaret Henderson, he was educated in Pembroke, Ontario and became a manufacturer in Renfrew. Low was president of Renfrew Flour Mills, Renfrew Electric Products, the Renfrew Refrigerator Company, the Renfrew Manufacturing Company and the British Canadian Export Company.
