James "Pookie" Wilson was a streetballer from Far Rockaway, Queens in New York City. College basketball He played at John Jay College. At John Jay he played under Coach Bob Fox. He was a 5'9" guard who is said to be the best person in the conference. While there he led them to the CUNY finals. Streetball James Wilson is compared to NBA Hall of Famer, Oscar Robertson, who is mentioned amongst the best because of his stats. He is also mentioned as a comparison with Robertson because both are under-appreciated. He became famous playing at the Rucker Park Tournament. In one of the pro league tournaments he averaged 35 points per game, while also having a 62 points in a game. Far Rockaway is a neighborhood on the eastern part of the Rockaway peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens. It is the easternmost section of the Rockaways. Joe Hammond, nicknamed "The Destroyer", is an American former streetball basketball player based in Harlem, New York. He attended Taft High School in the Bronx, but he dropped out of school in the 9th grade and thus never played college basketball. He played professionally in the Eastern Basketball Association (EBA) with the Allentown Jets and Garden State Colonials. He won an EPBL championship with the Jets in 1970. Career A streetball player, Hammond once scored 50 points in a half against Julius Erving at Rucker Park. In the 1971 NBA hardship draft, he was selected with the fifth pick of the 1971 Early Entry draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. Steven Dwayne Burtt (born November 5, 1962) is an American former professional basketball player. The 6'2" point guard played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) sporadically from 1984 until 1993. He also had an established playing career overseas.
