James Nallen
James Nallen (born 1973 in Castlebar) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for the Mayo county team. He is the team's record appearance holder with 132. He has worked as Chief Technical Officer at NUI Galway's School of Physics NUI Galway. His brother Tom and their uncle John also played for Mayo and Crossmolina. Playing career Nallen played in five All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) finals, including an All-Ireland SFC final replay against Meath in 1996, and won two All Stars, in 1996 and 2004. He won a National Football League medal in 2001. However, he never won an All-Ireland SFC medal. He retired from inter-county football in 2010. Crossmolina Deel Rovers
Crossmolina Deel Rovers is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Ireland. The club fields Gaelic football teams in competitions organized by the Mayo GAA county board. History Crossmolina Dr Crokes GAA was affiliated with the Mayo GAA county board in 1887. In 1906, the name was changed to Deel Rovers, referencing the nearby River Deel. The name of the ground is St Tiernan's Park, for Tigernan of Errew. Tommy Jordan led the club to the 2000–01 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament which began in season 1970–71. It is the top-tier competition for the senior football clubs of Ireland and London. The current champions are Cuala of Dublin who defeated Errigal Ciarán of Tyrone on 19 January 2025 to win their first All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The current trophy is the Andy Merrigan Cup, named after a footballer who played for Castletown Liam Mellows and Wexford who died as a result of a farm accident at the height of his playing career. Crossmolina () is a town in the barony (Ireland), historical barony of Tirawley, Tyrawley in County Mayo, Ireland, as well as the name of the Civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish and Catholic parish in which the town is situated. Baile Chláir or Baile Chláir na Gaillimhe (anglicised Claregalway) is a Gaeltacht village about 10 km north of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland. Claregalway was founded on the banks of the River Clare, hence the derivation of its name: ''Baile Chláir na Gaillimhe'' meaning "town on the Clare, in Galway". James Horan (Gaelic Footballer)
James Horan (born 1972) is a Gaelic football manager and former player. He is the two-time former manager of the Mayo county team. Horan led Mayo to consecutive All-Ireland SFC finals during his first spell in charge with a return of two defeats: in 2012 by Donegal and in 2013 by Dublin. He also led Mayo to consecutive All-Ireland SFC finals during his second spell in charge, again with a return of two defeats: in 2020 by Dublin (the fourth final Mayo had lost to Dublin in eight years) and in 2021 by Tyrone. Career Horan was born in New Zealand. Horan experienced a successful playing career at club level with Ballintubber and at inter-county level with Mayo. He was a key member of the half-forward line on the latter team throughout the 1990s and collected three Connacht titles and two All-Star awards in 1996 and 1999.
