James Lee Williams
James Lee Williams (12 April 1992 – 5 January 2025), known professionally as The Vivienne, was a British drag queen from Colwyn Bay, Wales, and winner of the first series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'' in 2019. They later competed in the seventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'' in 2022 and became the first drag performer to compete on ''Dancing on Ice'', placing third in the fifteenth series in 2023. In 2015, before the release of ''Drag Race UK,'' they were the UK drag ambassador for the American series ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. RuPaul's DragCon LA is an annual Trade fair, expo of Drag (clothing), drag culture held in Los Angeles billed as a "convention that celebrates 'the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all'", which debuted in 2015. A make-up artist, also called a makeup artist, and often shortened to MUA, is an artist whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and Prosthetic makeup, prosthetics on others for theatre, television, film, fashion, magazines and other similar productions including all aspects of the modeling industry. RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8
The eighth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' began airing on March 7, 2016. Returning judges include RuPaul and Michelle Visage, along with Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley, who shared judging responsibilities on an alternating basis. Twelve drag queens competed for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar". The prizes for the winner are a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics and a cash prize of $100,000. La Voix (born 17 April 1980) is the stage name of Christopher Dennis, a British drag performer and singer best known for competing on ''Britain's Got Talent'' and '' Queen of the Universe'', as well as serving as a mentor on ''Queens for the Night'' and being runner-up on the sixth series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK''. Café De Paris, London
The Café de Paris was a nightclub in the West End of London, active from 1924–41 and 1948–2020. It was located on Coventry Street, which runs between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. In the 1930s it became one of the leading theatre clubs in London. On March 8, 1941, during The Blitz bombing campaign of the Second World War, the club was hit by a German bomb. The explosion killed at least 34 people, injured at least 80, and caused extensive damage to the building. The club remained closed until 1948, when it reopened. The club regained its popularity in the 1950s and operated successfully for decades. A drag show is a form of entertainment performed by drag (entertainment), drag artists impersonating men or women, typically in a bar or nightclub as a burlesque-style, adult-themed nightclub event.
