James Lavino
James Dixon Lavino (born March 7, 1973) is an American composer and songwriter, known especially for his choral music and his music for film and television. Life and career Before 2002 Lavino was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended the Haverford School and sang in the choir of St._Peter's_Episcopal_Church_(Philadelphia), St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Society Hill. Lavino earned a BA in English at Boston University and an MA in English at Yale University. From 1999-2001 he was an Associate Editor at ''The Paris Review''. When he was 26 he began studying composition at The Juilliard School, where he was a student of Behzad Ranjbaran. Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey, formally titled the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter at Westminster, is an Anglican church in the City of Westminster, London, England. Since 1066, it has been the location of the coronations of 40 English and British monarchs and a burial site for 18 English, Scottish, and British monarchs. At least 16 royal weddings have taken place at the abbey since 1100. Although the origins of the church are obscure, an abbey housing Benedictine monks was on the site by the mid-10th century. ''Which Way Home'' is a 2009 documentary film directed by Rebecca Cammisa. The film follows several children who are attempting to get from Mexico and Central America to the United States, on top of a Rail freight transport, freight train that crosses Mexico known as El tren de la muerte, "La Bestia" (The Beast). Cammisa received a Fulbright Program, Fulbright Scholar Grant to make the documentary in 2006. The film premiered on HBO on August 24, 2009. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is an indie rock band active since the early 2000s in and out of Philadelphia. The band was founded as a collaboration between singer-songwriter Alec Ounsworth, Sean Greenhalgh, Robbie Guertin, Lee Sargent, and Tyler Sargent. Ounsworth now performs under the name, as a solo artist. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has released a total of six albums. ''Woodpecker'' is a 2008 comedy film directed by Alex Karpovsky and starring Jon Hyrns. The film follows Hyrns and his cohort, Wesley Yang, as they obsessively search the Arkansas bayou for proof that ivory-billed woodpecker is in fact not extinct. ''Woodpecker'' is filmed in a docufiction style, set in the small Arkansas town of Brinkley. It incorporates faux-interviews with Brinkley residents recounting their experiences with the mysterious bird. Hyrns becomes increasingly erratic and comic in his attempts to locate the animal.
