James Kinney (basketball)
James Edwin Kinney Jr. (born October 11, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for MBK Handlová of the Slovak Basketball League. Early life Kinney was born in Champaign, Illinois and graduated from Champaign's Centennial High School in 2009. In his senior season, Kinney was '' The News-Gazette'' All-Area Player of the Year. College career As a freshman in 2009–10, Kinney played at Ohio University under coach John Groce. In 19 games with 3 starts, Kinney averaged 9.7 points and 1.5 rebounds. On February 10, 2010, Kinney, already suspended indefinitely by Groce, pleaded guilty in Athens County court to a count of possession of marijuana. He was given a suspended jail sentence of 30 days, and his driver's license was suspended for 180 days. Groce subsequently dismissed Kinney from the team, and Kinney transferred to the College of Eastern Utah, a junior college. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The Scenic West Athletic Conference (also known as the Scenic West Conference) is a sports association for junior colleges located in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and California. The conference is a member of the NJCAA and sponsors 9 sports, 4 for men and 5 for women. It is the sole conference in the NJCAA's Region 18. The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. George Nessman
George Raymond Nessman II (born March 22, 1959) is an American athletic administrator and former college basketball coach who is the current athletic director at Justin-Siena High School. Nessman coached at the high school and community college levels before becoming an assistant basketball coach at California in 2004. From 2005 to 2013, Nessman was the men's basketball head coach at San Jose State. He was also athletic director at Porterville College from 1995 to 2001 while also serving as men's basketball head coach.
