James Gallagher (Australian Footballer)
James Gallagher (born 17 November 1979) is an Australian rules footballer who played with Adelaide Football Club, Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). Gallagher, a Sacred Heart College, Adelaide, Sacred Heart College alumni, was the third generation of his family to play for Norwood Football Club, Norwood. Both his grandfather Sam Gallagher, and uncle Phil Gallagher, played for Norwood and South Australia. A midfielder, he was promoted from the Adelaide Rookie List in 2001 and played four seasons for the club, often coming off the bench. He has gone on to play over 200 games for Norwood and has been club captain since 2007. He won back to back best and fairest awards in 2007 and 2008. In 2012 he came out of retirement to win a premiership with Norwood. Gallagher is married to Laura von Bertouch, a former Australia national netball team, Australia netball international. References

James Andrew Gallagher (born September 3, 1985) is an American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder. He played in minor league baseball as part of the Chicago White Sox organization. Prior to beginning his professional career, he played college baseball at Duke University. Gallagher has also competed for the United States national baseball team. Career Gallagher attended Peters Township High School in McMurray, Pennsylvania and Duke University, where he played college baseball for the Duke Blue Devils baseball team in the Atlantic Coast Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I. Gallagher was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the seventh round, with the 239th overall selection, of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. The Most Rev. James Gallagher (died 1751), was a Roman Catholic bishop. Life Gallagher was a member of the Ulster sept of ''Ó Galchobhair'', anglicised Gallagher. He was born about 1684, possibly near Kinlough, a village in the north of County Leitrim in the north of Connacht, and was educated at the Irish College in Paris, where he received an MA in 1715. He entered the priesthood of the Catholic Church, and was consecrated Bishop of Raphoe, whose diocese covered most of County Donegal, in November 1725 at Drogheda. Bishop Gallagher administered his diocese, the Diocese of Raphoe, until 1735, when he left due to threats to his safety in regards to the Penal Laws. It has been reported that he went to an island in Lough Erne, where he worked on the sermons which he published the following year. He represents the 3rd Assembly district, located in the northern Sacramento Valley. James Gallagher (Gaelic Footballer)
James Gallagher is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for Gaoth Dobhair and the Donegal county team. He is a son of Helen and Neily Gallagher, who also played for Donegal, and has one sister and a brother, Manuel, with his brother also playing for Gaoth Dobhair. From his 1994 debut, Gallagher played with Gaoth Dobhair until 2018, winning three Donegal Senior Football Championship titles and one Ulster Senior Club Football Championship title. James Gallagher (12 April 1920 – 11 March 1983) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He was born in Cashel, County Sligo, on 12 April 1920, son of Matthew Gallagher, a farmer, and his wife Margaret Gallagher (née Reilly). He had 13 siblings. Gallagher was educated at Moylough national school. A successful businessman and house builder before entering politics, Gallagher was elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Sligo–Leitrim constituency at the 1961 general election. He was re-elected at the 1965 and 1969 general elections. He did not contest the 1973 general election but he stood again at the 1977 general election and was again elected for Sligo–Leitrim. James Gallagher (mayor)
Sir James Michael Gallagher (1860–1925) was an Irish businessman who was Lord Mayor of Dublin for two terms. Gallagher was born in Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim, the son of Patrick Gallagher. By 1889 he had moved to Dublin and opened a business as a cigar importer; by 1905 the business had four shops in the city. On 15 January 1908 he was elected to the Dublin Corporation for Fitzwilliam ward for the United Irish League, and he continued to represent the ward until the corporation was suspended by the Irish Free State government in 1924. James Aloysius Gallagher (June 8, 1909 – April 16, 1992) was an American soccer player who earned two caps with the United States national soccer team. One cap came at the 1928 Summer Olympics where the U.S. lost to Argentina in the first round. He earned his second cap in a 3–3 away draw with Poland on June 10, 1928.
