James Edward Crayton, alias ''Too Sweet'', is an American former professional boxer. Personal life Crayton is a native and a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Professional career Early career Crayton's made his professional debut on April 7, of 1994, chalking up a knockout win against Agustin Rocha. Crayton's career got off to a shaky start, with his first loss coming in his fourth bout and his second loss in his eighth bout. However, Crayton pulled himself together and strung together 12 consecutive wins before falling at the hands of Derrick Gainer in January 1996. By this time Crayton was considered a high-level journeyman, and saw action against such established pros as Javier Leon, John John Molina, Arnulfo Castillo, Gabriel Ruelas, and in a fight for the WBF lightweight title, Juan Lazcano. Juan Lazcano (born March 23, 1975) is a Mexican-born American professional boxer currently based in Sacramento, California. He fights at light welterweight and is a former World Boxing Foundation (WBF), NABF and IBA lightweight champion, as well as having challenged for the IBO light welterweight title. Background Lazcano was born in Ciudad Juárez and was moved to El Paso when two months old. There, he attended Jefferson High School, later finishing at Bowie High. The North American Boxing Federation (NABF) is a not-for-profit regional sanctioning body that awards regional boxing titles. It is a boxing federation within the World Boxing Council (WBC). History The WBC established the NABF in 1969 as part of its creation of a variety of regional boxing federations. These regional federations would sanction championship bouts and crown regional champions. These champions would be given consideration in the world rankings put out by the WBC. Gabriel Ruelas
Gabriel Ruelas, (born on July 23, 1970 in Yerbabuena, Jalisco, Mexico), is a Mexican former professional boxer. Professional career Ruelas turned pro in 1988 and in 1993 challenged WBC Super Featherweight Title holder Azumah Nelson, losing a close majority decision. In 1994 he was able to capture the title by outpointing Jesse James Leija. He defended the belt twice, including an 11th round TKO of Jimmy Garcia of Colombia, who later died from his injuries. Ruelas contemplated retirement after Garcia's death, however, he decided to continue, promising to donate some of his earnings to the Garcia family.
