James Bulley
James Bulley is a British businessman and Chartered Surveyor. He is best known for being director of venues and infrastructure for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), the organisation responsible for planning and delivering the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Early life Bulley was made a Captain in the London Guards regiment of the British Army in 1997. He was granted Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2017. Career Bulley worked at Drivers Jonas property consultants, from 1991 to 1993 and from 1995 to 2008. 2017 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games
The 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (), which is also counted as the 5th Asian Indoor Games, was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in 2017. It became the third city in the former Soviet countries to win the right of hosting an Olympic Council of Asia-sanctioned event, following Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan, which jointly-hosted the 2011 Asian Winter Games. The host city was chosen in Kuwait on 19 December 2010. On 6 July 2013 the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia was officially handed over to the mayor of the city of Ashgabat. World Triathlon Championship Series
The World Triathlon Championship Series is an annual series of triathlon events organised by World Triathlon. The series is used to crown an annual world champion since 2008. Previously, the ITU (the former name of World Triathlon) world champion between 1989 and 2008 had been decided in a single annual championship race. The Championship Series consists of multiple rounds of competitions culminating in a Grand Final race. Athletes compete head-to-head for points in these races that will determine the overall World Triathlon champion. Ashgabat (Turkmen language, Turkmen: ''Aşgabat'') is the capital city, capital and largest city of Turkmenistan. London 2012 was the successful bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London with most events taking place in Stratford in the borough of Newham. The British Olympic Association had been working on the bid since 1997, and presented its report to government ministers in December 2000. Following three consecutive unsuccessful UK bids to host summer Olympic Games (Birmingham for 1992 and Manchester for 1996 and 2000), the decision was made to bid with London, given the clear indication that it was the only UK city that had a chance of being selected by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) when put up against other world cities in a competitive bidding process. Drivers Jonas was a longstanding private partnership of chartered surveyors in the United Kingdom. It was acquired by Deloitte in 2010. History Drivers Jonas was founded in London in 1725 by brothers, Samuel and Charles Driver. Formerly bakers, nurserymen and landowners. London Guards
The London Guards is an administrative formation within the British Army comprising the reserve companies of the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots and Irish Guards. On formation, these companies drew their personnel from the London Regiment, which traces its history back to the formation of that regiment in 1908 when 26 separate Volunteer Force battalions were brought together. The London Guards is not a regiment; the companies wear the uniform, and follow the traditions, of their foot guards regiment.
