James W. Bierman Jr. is a retired United States Marine Corps lieutenant general who last served as the deputy commandant for plans, policies and operations of the United States Marine Corps from 2024 to 2025. He served as the commanding general of III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Forces Japan from 2021 to 2024. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune ( or ) is a United States Armed Forces, United States military training facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Its of beaches make the base a major area for Amphibious warfare, amphibious assault training, and its location between two deep-water ports (Wilmington, North Carolina, Wilmington and Morehead City, North Carolina, Morehead City) allows for fast deployments. Jays are a paraphyletic grouping of passerine birds within the family (biology), family Corvidae.
