Jamal Mohamed Hassan
Gamal Mohamed Hassan (born June 1978). Jamal is a Somali-Canadian politician who was the former Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia and former Ambassador. Biography Prior to becoming the Minister, Gamal has served as the Somali Ambassador to Kenya and concurrently served as the Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN Habitat in Nairobi. Currently, Gamal is working as the director of the IGAD Centre of Excellence for Climate Adaptation and Environmental Protection (IGAD CAEP). Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (, ; born March 11, 1962), also known as Farmaajo, is a Somali politician who served as president of Somalia from 2017 to 2022. He was Prime Minister of Somalia, prime minister of Somalia for six months, from November 2010 to June 2011. Mohamed is the founder and leader of the Tayo Party since 2012. Early life and education Mohamed was born in Mogadishu. Mohamed comes from the Marehan, a sub-clan of the Darod clan. His parents were activists affiliated with the Somali Youth League (SYL), Somalia's first political party. Dhahar is a town in the eastern Sanaag region, and the capital of the Dhahar District.
