Jamal Chavoshifar
Jamal Chavoshifar (; also Romanization, Romanized as "Jamāl Chāvoshifar", IPA: ʤæ'mɒːl ʧɒːvoʃiː'fæɾ, born 1990) is an Iranian peoples, Iranian swimmer who specialized in the backstroke. Swimming career Born on 19 August 1990 into a family of sportsmen and encouraged by his father, Jamal Chavoshifar engaged in swimming as a child. At first he chose the breaststroke and won the first medal of his life in one of its styles. But he gradually inclined to the butterfly stroke, and finally began his specialty, that is the backstroke, at the age of sixteen. In his first abroad competition, Jamal managed to break the List of Iranian records in swimming, 50m and 100m backstroke records of Iran at the Malaysian Competitions in 2008, when he was eighteen. Chavoshifar holds the Iranian records of 50, 100, and 200 m events of the backstroke in short course pools, as well as the records of 50 and 100 m events of the same style in long course pools. 2014 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 M)
The 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) were held in Doha, Qatar on 3–7 December 2014. The Hamad Aquatic Centre in the Aspire Zone hosted the event. Host selection On 14 December 2010, FINA announced that Catania, Italy would host the 2014 Short Course Worlds. In November 2011, the Italian Swimming Federation (FIN) withdrew their support of Catania as host for the event, due to the Italian regional government's missing deadlines related to financial guarantees for the event. FIN's withdrawal of support for Catania made it unlikely that the event would stay in Italy. Backstroke Swimming
Backstroke or back crawl is one of the four Swimming (sport), swimming styles used in competitive events regulated by FINA, and the only one of these styles swum on the back. This swimming style has the advantage of easy breathing, but the disadvantage of swimmers not being able to see where they are going. It also has a different start from the other three competition swimming styles. The swimming style is similar to an ''upside down'' front crawl or freestyle. Both backstroke and front crawl are long-axis strokes. In individual medley backstroke is the second style swum; in the medley relay it is the first style swum.
